DecorHome helps you build a 3D model of your home and decorate it. Plans and photos of a home are personal data, and we treat them that way. This page explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and your rights under the GDPR. Questions: privacy@decorhome.app.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash), and when you signed in.
- Your projects: the 3D models you make, saved versions, and the files you upload (sketches, plans, photos) or generate (renders).
- Sharing: links you create, and the names and comments people leave on them.
- Billing: your plan, credit history and Stripe customer reference. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see them.
- AI requests: which action you used, when, the model and the credits charged. We keep the result, not a log of the images you sent.
- Technical data: error reports and basic usage counts (for example “a project was created”), without advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Why, and on what basis
- To provide the service you signed up for: storing your projects, running the AI actions you request, sharing links, billing (contract).
- To keep the service secure and working: rate limits, error reports, backups (legitimate interest).
- To send account emails: confirming your address, password resets, comments on shared projects (contract).
- To send occasional tips about using DecorHome (legitimate interest). Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and you can turn them off on your account page.
- To keep accounting records required by law (legal obligation).
Who processes it for us
- Contabo (a German hosting company): servers, database and file storage. Uploaded files are stored in Contabo's data centre in the United States, under standard contractual clauses.
- OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to: only the image or text needed for an AI action you start. Some providers are outside the EU; transfers rely on standard contractual clauses.
- Stripe: payments and invoices.
- Our email provider: delivering account emails.
- Sentry and PostHog (EU hosting, where enabled): error reports and anonymous usage counts.
We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising, and we do not use your plans or photos to train AI models.
How long we keep it
Your account and projects stay until you delete them. Deleting a project deletes its files. Deleting your account erases your projects, files, links, comments and sessions straight away; backups roll over within 30 days. Credit and payment records are kept without your name as long as accounting law requires.
Your rights
You can see, correct, download or delete your data. From your account page you can download everything we hold about you as a ZIP file and delete your account. You can also object to processing, ask us to restrict it, or complain to your data protection authority (in Portugal, the CNPD). Write to privacy@decorhome.app for anything else; we answer within one month.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember your currency. Usage counts are collected without cookies.
